A Personal Story
What impresses me most about the training at BCG is just how comprehensive and varied it is. In each aspect of your professional life, at every career step, you are supported by a number of training initiatives.

On one hand the training offered provides the opportunity to develop your professional skills—from the basics, like the advanced use of MS Excel or PowerPoint, to more specific ones, like presentation skills, meeting management, and coaching. On the other hand, there is a lot of specific content training, from discussions on the future of European gas supply to BCG’s approach to organization design. Together this works excellently, and by sharing the best ideas and new approaches it allows us to create the most value for our clients.

A Personal Story
Training and apprenticeship are crucial platforms for us to provide growth and development to our staff, and we train at every level of seniority. The core curriculum covers everything from corporate finance to managing presence. The range of other topics is as rich and diverse as the business world itself: it allows for great flexibility for people to pursue their personal interests.  This is especially true of the virtual training program with experts from each practice area offering their latest thinking in an online classroom format. In a typical week there are at least three or four different sessions, open to anyone—and if you happen to miss one, you can watch the recorded version a day or two later. These days I’m often a trainer as well and it is a great opportunity to engage colleagues in a different way, and pushes me to think about how I communicate. All of which is very helpful for client work, too.
